Oven Baked Turkey with Salad

Ingredients for the recipe:
For turkey:
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 (3.5-4.5 kg.) Thawed and gutted turkey, cut into
- 6 parts (chicken legs, wings, breast, cut in half)
- 2 tbsp. l olive oil
- Salt and Freshly Ground Peppers
For garnish:
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 apples, peel, core and dice
- 2 stalks of celery, cut into slices
- 1 tsp chopped fresh parsley leaves
- 1 tsp chopped fresh sage leaves
- 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 4 tbsp. diced white bread
- 1 tbsp. lightly salted chicken stock
- 2 tbsp. l olive oil
- Salt and Freshly Ground Peppers
Recipe preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180 °
C.
Stir in a small bowl 2
tbsp. l olive oil, all dried herbs, salt and pepper. Grate the turkey with the
mixture and put the meat in an even layer in the baking dish.
Put the turkey in the oven
and bake, for about 1.5 hours, until the thermometer inserted in the thickest
part of the thigh shows 70-75 ° C. Then remove from the oven, cover with foil
and let stand for 10-15 minutes.
To prepare a side dish:
heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan, add onions, apples, and celery, cover
and fry over medium heat for about 5 minutes. Transfer the fried vegetables to
another baking dish, add parsley, sage, thyme, diced bread, pour the chicken
stock, salt and pepper. Put in the oven and bake until golden brown, about 45
minutes.
Divide the turkey into
portions and serve with a side dish.
