History
Dog Japanese Akita Inu is a beautiful dog of Japan, known to locals since ancient times. Do not confuse Japanese dog Akita and American dog Akita they are different dogs. Japanese beautiful dog Akita originated in Japan, Akita Province – that why dogs got their name. It is not known for certain exactly when these animals formed as a breed, however, the first written evidence dates back to the early 17th century. In those days, Akita Inu was used to protect the imperial family.
In addition, members of the imperial family loved hunting small and large game with these dogs – this is hard to believe, but they even went to the bear with them. This very clearly characterizes the personality of the animal, because Akita has a bold, and at the same time good-natured character. To understand the kindness of these dogs, one can cite a vivid example – in the London zoo, the baby Akita Inu was once used as a nanny-older brother for a tiger cub. And the dog did an excellent job of this task.
The first Akita Inu came to America in 1937, together with the distinguished deaf-mute woman of her time, Hellen Keller. This idea came to Hellen after visiting the statue of the dog Hachiko, located in Shibuya. Hearing about the extraordinary devotion of this animal, as well as the history of these dogs in general, Hellen decided to take one Akita with her. Her name was Kamikaze-go.
In the post-war period, American soldiers brought these dogs home from Japan, which formed a separate breed of American Akita. However, to this day there is a dispute among breeders regarding the difference between the Japanese and American Akita Inu breeds, as the Japanese do not want to recognize American dogs as a separate breed. Moreover, many adhere to this rule even today, despite the fact that the dispute has been going on for more than half a century.

Description
Japan’s beautiful dog Akita Inu are big dogs, with a powerful physically, large muscles, and a round head. Ears are erect. The limbs are muscular, of medium length, the tail is saber, fluffy. The coat is long.

Personality
The Japanese dog Akita Inu is a real hero. Or, rather, a real samurai. Akita Inu never retreats in battle, is distinguished by the great devotion to his family and master, and will follow them no matter what. In the circle of their favorite people, these are extremely gentle, affectionate, and friendly dogs, which are always a pleasure to spend time with. They like to take part in all family affairs, to feel part of the team.
The Akita Inu breed has a large amount of internal energy, loves a variety of games and all kinds of entertainment, toys, walks. They need physical activity in order to maintain muscle mass in a constant tone, however, if you are not ready to provide your pet with daily training, at least take long walks so that the dog can run around. Active games are also a good idea.
The Akita Inu breed is subject to strong inter-gender and interspecific aggression, in other words, these dogs are aggressive towards other dogs, cats, especially if they are of the opposite sex. This phenomenon can be called universal, specific to the breed, but it can be fought through socialization – early acquaintance with other domestic animals – cats and dogs, the development of friendly relations with them, as well as acquaintances with other people, sounds, smells, situations.
It requires the right approach in education because of great natural obstinacy. Akita Inu is a breed that treats children well, loves to be friends with them, play, go for walks, and generally spend time. At that – realizing his responsibility for the child. These animals have very developed intellect, perfectly understand their owners, understand everything that is happening around them, and feel the emotional environment.
Akita Inu love to express their emotions through their voices, and for this, they have a lot of different sounds – grunts, barking, howling and howling, yelping, and whining – all that you can imagine. These dogs are not recommended for inexperienced or timid owners, as they have problems with obedience.

Training
Of course, you should use every opportunity to indicate your leadership position. To do this, use food, toys, games and walks as a method to achieve your goal – do not go for a walk, do not give out your favorite toys to the dog until it does as it should. Then your pet will understand that the mass of very valuable things in his life directly depends on you, and by his disobedience, he deprives himself of these things.

Care

Thick, with undercoat, Akita Inu dog hair needs to be combed out 2 times a week. When the dog sheds – as necessary, but it is better to comb out more often. Also, do not forget to cleanse your pet’s eyes after sleep from deposits, and also monitor the cleanliness of the ears. Claws are cut three times a month, bathe the animal 1-2 times a week.
