Baked turkey on a Beer Can

Ingredients for the recipe:
- 1 (500-700 gr.) Can of beer
- 1 (4-5 kg.) Thawed turkey
- 2 tsp mustard powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried onion
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp ground smoked cumin
- Salt and Freshly Ground Peppers
- 1/4 Art. canola oil
Recipe preparation:
Preheat the oven to 180 C. Prepare a beer can: pour half of the beer, and use a can opener to cut off the top of the can.
Mix mustard powder, garlic powder, dried onions, paprika, garlic salt, cumin in a bowl, salt and pepper.
Gut the turkey, remove the neck, cut off excess fat. Rinse under cold water, dry with paper towels. Grate the turkey cavity with 2-3 teaspoons of the spice mixture. Grate the outside with canola oil and the remaining mixture of spices, put the turkey on a can of beer and cover with foil.
Put the turkey in the very bottom of the oven
and bake for 2-3 hours, until the thermometer inserted in the thigh shows 70-75
C. Half an hour before being ready to remove the foil and continue to bake
until golden brown. Then remove the turkey from the oven and take out the jar,
transfer the turkey to a cutting board and leave for 20 minutes.
